Requirements\Qualifications
- Educated with a Bachelor of Science in a related field.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.E) Certified
- Demonstrable experience across Bridge and Structural Engineering/Inspection projects in the USA.
- Familiar with NBIS Requirements.
- Ability to use software applications including MicroStation, STAAD Pro, Larsa4D, AutoCAD, OpenBridge, and other related software applications.
- Familiar with and have the ability to use Bridge Inspection reporting software and systems such as SAM, DBIR, InspectTech, and others.
- Undertaken NBIS Bridge Inspection Training

The Role & Responsibilities
This opportunity will look to leverage your experience and expertise across Bridge Inspection. As the Senior Bridge Inspector/Engineer Team Leader, you will be responsible for the inspection of a wide range of bridge and structural projects regionally for both public and private clients.
Managing and leading a team, you will oversee junior and other team members, supervising and reviewing their work as well as overseeing the management of contracts and tasks assigned to you.
The role will also focus on the inspection of bridges, structures, and other related infrastructure projects, ensuring that you follow NBIS as well as any specific guidelines and regulations, and generating detailed inspection reports. Workload dependant, there may be an expectation to work with the design team, to prepare designs for bridges and other related projects including Transportation or Water/Wastewater structures.
- Work closely with the Bridge Inspection Program Lead Manager to review and schedule tasks and related activities around the inspection staff and equipment.
- Be the Team Leader for the Bridge Inspection-related tasks.
- Ensure that inspections meet NBIS standards (National Bridge Inspection Standards).
- Oversee the preparation and generation of inspection reports, evaluate inspection reports that have been created, and provide technical recommendations where necessary.
- Time-dependent, work with the internal design team to provide designs across different bridge structures.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, helping to develop and grow their technical skills and understanding.
- Travel to project sites as and when required.
