Description

Mackinnon Bruce is working closely with a growing, US-based Biotechnology company that specialise in the production and sales of Capital Equipment with a focus on Molecular Biology and Biochemistry/Biophysics. The demand for their innovative technology is growing across research facilities across Pharma, Biopharma, Biotech, CRO's, CDMO's & Academia.


Due to continued growth, we are now looking for a strong commercial candidate with a proven history of success in Capital Equipment sales to take the Regional Sales Manager position based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a great opportunity for a driven salesperson with a strong technical background to join a young and ambitious team to help grow this key territory


Qualifications

  • Minimum of BS in Life Sciences.
  • 3-5 years of life science capital equipment sales experience (Essential).
  • Sales-driven and customer-centric individual.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to develop contacts and build rapport at all levels.
  • Experience successfully meeting/exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience creating and executing sales territory plans with a focus on long-term relationships.
  • Must reside within the territory or within commutable distance of the San Francisco Bay Area
  • Travel up to 40%, including overnight travel.

Role & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with key accounts within the given territory to develop, implement, and maintain growth.
  • Develop a strategy to identify and obtain new business opportunities within the Life Science/Pharmaceutical accounts.
  • Use your knowledge of Capital Equipment sales to hit and exceed the quarterly/yearly sales quotas.
  • Understand and utilise the company's CRM to forecast orders and update sales processes.
  • Create your business plan to ensure growth within the territory.
  • Develop and maintain a network of KOLs within the territory.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams including Marketing, Field Application Scientists, and the other team members to ensure the customer receives the best service possible
  • Develop and maintain technical competency.
  • Monitor competitor activity and use market knowledge to industry new/changing trends.
  • Ensure customer success for all accounts.
  • Attend trade shows, user group meetings, and virtual events.
