I joined MBI over a decade ago as a Search Consultant, focused on the global MedTech sector. What began as a specialist role quickly evolved—through ongoing support, the chance to build a world-class network, and the freedom to develop my skills in a high-performance environment. As the business grew, so did I. I was trusted with the opportunity to step into leadership and build a thriving team across both the MedTech and Life Sciences sectors. Today, as Associate Director, I lead a dynamic division and have the privilege of mentoring talented consultants and researchers, helping them shape their careers just as I’ve been able to shape mine. During my tenure with Mackinnon Bruce International, I have progressed rapidly into a senior role within the organisation due to the excellent training process, and the strong leadership team who nurture a positive and supportive culture. I currently manage our HVAC/R + Building Automation division, supporting our network of clients with executive search, talent mapping and salary benchmarking services on a global basis. I joined MBI in 2021, straight out of university. What stood out to me about MBI was the number of opportunities for personal and professional development. I joined in an entry-level role and have worked my way up to Internal Talent and Engagement Manager, managing the full hiring process and supporting our Manchester office with their growth plans. My role has allowed me to work directly with senior stakeholders across the business while also being able to introduce new initiatives and wellbeing strategies to make sure our team has all the support they need to succeed. In such a short space of time, I’ve had the opportunity to develop massively in my specialist industry, gaining exposure into global markets and working in partnership with leading organisations in the Animal Health & Nutrition industry. The training and continued support from leaders have allowed me to develop my professional and personal life, with a real focus on my career path and supporting me through the next steps. I joined MBI 2 years ago, as a Business Development Intern. The role gave me the opportunity to complete a sandwich degree and gain valuable work experience. I returned to MBI as an Associate Search Consultant and I have since received 2 internal promotions.
