A key client in the recycling equipment & technologies space is looking to add a West Coast Sales Manager – Metals as part of a key hire for their 2024 growth plans

The client 

A leader in the recycling equipment & technologies space with a Global market presence. 

Location: Remote, (PST, MDT, CDT) 

The Role 

This role is focused on driving new equipment sales and fostering customer development within the metals recycling market on the West Coast. The primary responsibilities include managing account development, building new customer relationships, and executing strategic sales plans to expand market presence. This involves identifying potential business opportunities, generating a sales pipeline, and accurately forecasting sales performance.

The position requires achieving targeted sales revenue for the assigned region by preparing effective action plans, generating leads, and conducting presentations and RFP responses. The role also includes providing regular performance feedback to senior management through structured reporting, maintaining accurate sales records in Salesforce, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction through consistent communication and relationship management.

Requirements/Qualifications 

  • A degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or Business is required.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and travel up to 80% of the time.
  • Experience in the scrap metal market is essential.
  • Must reside west of the Mississippi River.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is preferred.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Must be able to travel to Europe for technical training and customer visits, if necessary.
  • Experience in a small office, department, or company setting is preferred.
  • Strong ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and perform well under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc., are required.
