We are working alongside our client, who are Top 200 ENR Listed Firm, who specialise in the Civil Engineering sectors, and who are looking to hire a Traffic Engineer, to be based in out of Baltimore, MD.

Our client provides leading & innovative design and planning solutions to large and complex civil infrastructure, transportation, and environmental infrastructure projects.

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, MD

The Role & Responsibilities

This role is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team and business who are heavily invested in the Civil Engineering & Transportation sectors.

As a Traffic Engineer, you will undertake traffic engineering activities and tasks, including traffic operation analysis, travel demand modeling, transportation safety evaluations as well as other traffic engineering-related activities.

Working closely with fellow professionals and team members, you will be part of a team providing leading traffic engineering to the local and regional community.

  • Undertake traffic engineering activities and tasks, including traffic operation analysis, travel demand modeling, transportation safety evaluations as well as other traffic engineering-related activities.
  • Using software design & analysis tools to design traffic/transportation solutions, using the latest ITS devices and technologies.
  • Work closely with both internal colleagues and external clients/stakeholders off-site.
  • Working a wide variety of project types & sizes, as a Traffic Engineer you will work on broad-scale of projects, ranging from small-scale isolated projects to major roadways/highways regionally.

Requirements\Qualifications

  • Educated with a Bachelor of Science in a related field.
  • E.I.T Certified.
  • Ability to obtain P.E. license within 12 to 24 months.
  • Demonstrable experience in traffic operation analysis, travel demand modeling, transportation safety evaluations as well as other traffic engineering-related activities on projects in the USA.
  • Ability to use software applications including MicroStation, Agi32, Synchro/Sim Traffic, or VISSIM as well as others.
