At the client, our sales team is the engine that drives our North American consumer reach in the high-end Heat recovery (ERVs & HRVs) ventilation market and IAQ solutions. We are seeking qualified Technical Sales People, with High Performance Building knowledge and expertise to drive revenue through their own skill, activity, and strategic initiatives.

The role will create direct sales, influence specifiers, as well as identify and build sales channels that will include partners and distributors. Our ideal sales representative/executive has a track record of 5+ years of success as a sales professional. Their experience needs to demonstrate excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and closing. We’re seeking a quick learner with strong value-added selling skills and a track record of success.

Objectives of this Role 

• Represent our company, with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings.

• Identify, demonstrate, and support the proposal of the client’s solutions

• Manage a region for all the client’s sales channels both direct and indirect sales.

• Close sales of the client’s Solutions to meet and exceed the sales plan.

• Provide professional customer service support for key customers.

• Achieve company objectives through strategic planning, aligned activities, and effective time management.

• Generate leads and build and nurture client relationships.

• Understand the code enforcement and buying incentives of the region.

• Provide feedback from customers about products and services.

• Represent the client at key events and organizations.


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities 

• Meet with potential clients and grow long-lasting relationships by understanding their needs.

• Meet with specifiers of ERV/HRV ventilation equipment to secure specified projects.

• Identify key prospects within the region and outline a development strategy.

• Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics as they relate to their customers and Sales Channel partners. Sales, Opportunities, Activities, etc.

• Report and manage the sales funnel.

• Record activity and developments in Salesforce and other reporting means.

• Regularly schedule account reviews for previous sales, new business opportunities, and monthly forecasting

• Define the product strategy and roadmap.

• Run pilot programs with early-stage products and samples.

• Be an expert concerning the competition.

• Design sales campaigns to generate sales from new and existing customers; ensure all sales goals/targets are met.

• Keeping abreast of the latest market conditions, product and price changes building code changes, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment

• Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product.

• Perform product demos to customers.


Skills and Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

• Knowledge of the High Performance and Energy Conservation Construction

• Understands the construction cycle from concept to occupancy.

• 5+ years in sales with a proven and demonstrable track record of success

• Experience selling value-add solutions.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills

• Has contacts within the construction industry.

• Superb collaboration and relationship-building skills.

• Communicates effectively in person, through correspondence, and proposals.

• Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.

• Experienced user of CRM/Salesforce, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Experienced at generating system sales quotes and follow-up.

  • Construction Project Management experience is a plus
