A leading cosmetics company is seeking an experienced Senior Cosmetic Formulator to join our Research & Innovation team.
This role is essential to the formulation and development of various make-up products, including emulsions and anhydrous formulas. The selected candidate will play an integral role in driving product innovation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and market readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and develop a range of cosmetic products, including emulsions and anhydrous formulas.
- Manage laboratory equipment, including calibration and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality Control, Marketing, and Regulatory) to ensure timely product development.
- Research new raw materials and technologies to enhance product quality and innovation.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation on formulations.
- Attend industry events to stay updated on trends.
- Train and mentor laboratory technicians.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Chemistry or a related field, with a major in cosmetics preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within the cosmetics industry.
- Expertise in anhydrous and emulsion formulation.
- Strong knowledge of the end-to-end process of cosmetic product development, including formulation, colour, industrialisation, and production.
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and standards such as GMP, UNI EN ISO 9001, and 22716.
- Proficiency in English.
