We are working alongside our key client in the Medical Diagnostic sector based in San Antonio, to hire a Quality Control Lab Manager.

The client

A global organisation operating in the Medical Diagnostic Manufacturing industry. 

The Role 

The position involves planning, directing, coordinating, and monitoring the activities of the Quality Control Department to ensure consistent production of high-quality products. This is achieved through both personal efforts and managing a team. The position entails planning/coordinating, Quality Standards and Objectives, Management and supervision, Process Improvements, and document and compliance tasks alongside collaboration with other departments supporting technical instigations. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of quality management, process improvement, and compliance standards to ensure high product quality and reliability.

Requirements\Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in a science-related field; OR five to ten years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in the Medical Device / Medical Technology Sector
  • Experience & good understanding QMS ISO 13485
  • Skills to include: Managerial or Supervisory activities, familiar with quality management systems to include corrective and preventative actions and root cause analysis, Assembly, Basic electronics-component I.D., Soldering, Test Equipment, Repair and Maintenance, Technical Support, and Trouble Shooting. 
  • Experience working with small tools and parts. 
  • Demonstrated ability to read and follow drawings/SOPs. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
  • A Medical Laboratory Technician Certification or Medical Technologist Certification may be beneficial but is not required.
