The Role
This role is focused on leading the engineering and technical operations for the companies Solid Distillation System (SDS) units. This role works closely with maintenance, production, safety, and compliance teams to ensure efficient operations and achieve company objectives.
Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, managing SDS-related projects from design to execution, and compiling technical reports for KPI tracking. The role also involves supporting plant operations through data analysis, operator training, and safety reviews, along with assisting in the development of the annual capital budget. This is a pivotal role in advancing environmental and operational excellence.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical, Industrial, Electrical/Automation, or Mechanical disciplines.
- Minimum of 5 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing small to medium-sized projects and coordinating multiple contractors.
- Knowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous waste treatment technologies, including combustion, incineration, and distillation.
- Strong skills in chemical process development, engineering calculations, and data analysis.
- Expertise in preventive maintenance, as well as electro-mechanical equipment installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Comprehensive understanding of project lifecycles, including design, capital management, construction, and commissioning.
- Proficiency in commissioning plants and systems with advanced automation and process instrumentation.
- Ability to develop detailed process flow diagrams, instrumentation diagrams, I/O diagrams, and process control strategies.
- High attention to detail in calculations, design, and operations.
- Ability to work on-site and adhere to the assigned schedule.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
