The client

Our client is a pioneering developer and operator of Solar projects with a mission to change the world through solar technology and investment. With operations in multiple countries and over 1.5 GW of active projects in the development pipeline, my client is at the forefront of the solar industry, producing over 150,000 MWh of clean electricity.

Location: Chicago – Hybrid 

The Role

My client is currently looking to fill the position of Operations Coordinator. This role involves providing support to the US operations team, which includes the EPC and Asset Management teams. The Operations Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of these teams and their respective activities.

Requirements\Qualifications

The ideal candidate should be able to work with minimal supervision when interacting with stakeholders, as well as collaborate effectively with all members of the internal and external client teams. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport and professionally engage with stakeholders, are essential. Additionally, professionalism, the ability to understand and manage client expectations, and the delivery of high-quality service are important. The candidate should also possess a robust and resilient character to operate effectively in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment.

Responsibilities 

  • Sourcing, evaluating, and onboarding equipment and service providers
  • Managing relationships with vendors
  • Building and maintaining the vendor database for BNRG
  • Managing effective RFP processes
  • Assembling contracts, exhibits, etc., and coordinating contract signing
  • Ensuring all necessary paperwork is in place prior to mobilisation (e.g. Certificate of Insurance)
  • Working with Accounting to record downstream commitments
  • Tracking project costs vs. budget
  • Managing invoices and ensuring vendors are paid on time
  • Managing/maintaining Operations SharePoint files
  • Striving to continuously improve Operations team efficiency using the latest techniques and technological developments
  • Supporting the efficient handover of projects from the Development Teams to Operations
