We are working alongside our client in the Agriculture distribution sector, looking to hire a Head of Product Development Crop Nutrition/Crop Protection.

The client
A global distributor of specialty chemicals, serving a broad range of industries including Animal Nutrition, Agriculture, Water Treatment, and Oil & Gas.
Location
Anywhere in the United States.
The Role
Reporting to the CEO, the ideal candidate:
- Has led innovation in a similar commercial organization and developed Value Added Fertilizer formulations.
- Fully understands Intellectual Property Management and has authored technical papers and filed Patents and Trademarks.
- Has introduced New Products in an existing commercial portfolio, from ideation to full sales deployment.
- Has Agronomy experience, but also domains and understands Chemistry.
- Will possess a strong Chemistry & R&D background, with experience in the Agriculture space (preferably crop nutrition/fertiliser).
- Fully domains the Turf and Ornamental and Agricultural markets. Fully understand Row and Specialty Crops.
- Is Up To Date with Biostimulants and Biocontrol products, in addition to conventional value-added fertilisers.
- Has worked directly with Manufacturing and done extensive Lab work.
- Has conducted multiple Field trials in partnership with Universities, Cooperatives, Manufacturers, and/or Technical Institutes in the agrochemical industry.
- PhD is preferred.
- Will be based in the US.
- Fluent in English, and Spanish would be a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the current R&D Director to set up meetings with third-party formulation labs across the US, Canada, and Mexico.
- Travel up to 30% of the time.
