Position Overview:

We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to join our executive team. Reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating with the Board and other senior leaders, the CMO will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, customer acquisition, and product growth. This role requires an experienced marketing leader with a deep understanding of the IAM and fraud detection sectors within the cybersecurity space, capable of shaping the company’s marketing vision and leading the team to execute it effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and growth targets.
  • Drive brand awareness and positioning through targeted marketing campaigns, digital channels, content marketing, and thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with the CEO, Board, and other senior leadership team members to define strategic marketing priorities and ensure alignment with the company’s vision and goals.
  • Oversee all marketing activities, including digital marketing, public relations, events, product marketing, and lead generation.
  • Drive customer acquisition efforts and nurture long-term customer relationships by leveraging data-driven marketing insights.
  • Build and scale a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence.
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimise performance and growth.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and market trends, adjusting marketing strategies to keep the company at the forefront of the industry.
  • Champion a strong, data-informed approach to marketing that ensures high-impact decision-making and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, with a proven track record in building and scaling marketing teams, particularly within the IAM, fraud detection, or cybersecurity sectors.
  • Deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, including trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics in IAM and fraud detection.
  • Strong experience in brand strategy, digital marketing, content marketing, demand generation, and customer acquisition.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that drive significant business results.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and with C-suite executives.
  • Experience working with data analytics and marketing automation tools to optimise marketing performance.
  • A preference for candidates based in California, but open to remote candidates in the U.S.
