Mackinnon Bruce International are partnered with a global biotech company focused on developing and commercialising genetically modified rodent and cell line models for preclinical and clinical research. They have a particular focus in cancer research with translational models for immuno-oncology and immunotherapy.
Our client is currently looking for a Business Developer, to be based in Lyon to help grow the organisation and strengthen their customer base. This role reports directly to the Sales Manager and will be responsible for achieving their sales target for their portfolio of engineered products, selling to a variety of customers across Academia, Pharmaceutical, and Biotech spaces.
Key responsibilities
- Present to customers the technological platform, the scientific performances of the models and applications;
- Support and advise customers in the research and the understanding of their scientific projects
- Prepare prospection plans for potential targets and establish business relationships with prospects;
- Build the technical proposals with the help of the commercial teams and sign contracts with the identified prospects;
- Maintain & develop strong relationships with key customers & KOL references in conjunction with our Scientific Consulting & Project Management Teams;
- Prepare and participate to scientific congresses and events in line with the commercial strategy;
- Manage or contribute to internal projects related to marketing, communication, and tools.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- PhD in Immuno Biology, Immunology or related
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English is essential
- Prior sales/business development experience is a plus
- Willingness to travel globally
