In response to the growth of its business and additional capital from its investors, our client is seeking to add an This is an exciting role where the successful candidate will have a wide scope to play a leading role in my client’s German investment strategy and will be a key part of developing the firm’s German business plan, executing it, and driving the overall German business. The new hire will work on deals throughout their lifecycle from assisting in the sourcing of new deals, execution, asset management and value creation initiatives, and sale processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES will include; but not limited to:
Leading operational and strategic decision making in Germany; with the guidance of senior pan- European leadership.
Taking ownership of assets with full cradle to grave responsibility on transactions: acquisition, asset management, value creation and disposition.
Deep analysis of investment opportunities; sourcing investments with a primary focus on the UK (but also Europe) through creative use of agents and brokers, as well as non-conventional sources.
Critically evaluating opportunities from both a macro and micro perspective in order to derive the best relative risk-adjusted returns, making the case for transactions both internally and externally.
Helping to execute bank financing, structuring debt terms and assisting with documentation and quarterly reporting.
Interacting both existing and prospective investors.
Assisting with the development and execution of asset management strategies, with a particular focus on Responsible Real Estate blending sustainability, design, community and the built environment as a means of driving higher investment returns.
Strong internal and external communications skills; interacting with in house property management team, preparing investment committee memos, as well as Investor facing presentations.
The successful candidate will possess the skills and experiences:
An interest in sustainability and the built environment.
Strong transactional experience, with exposure to UK and/or European commercial real estate.
Top in their field analytical thinking, with the demonstrable ability to quickly see through complex and often conflicting facts to distil problem down to their essential, critical elements.
An appreciation of the macro and microeconomic factors that affect real estate investments.
A perfectionist’s eye for detail and the ability to deliver client-ready work the first time around.
A willingness to work in a self-directed way at times, but at equally able to excel collaboratively.
Fluent in German and excellent English language skills (with other European languages as an advantage).
Five to Eight years relevant market experience.
