Mackinnon Bruce is working with a leading ingredients manufacturer who have been established for over 60 years with a global customer base. As a result of changing consumer trends, they are expanding and are seeking an experienced and results oriented National Sales Manager to manage sales opportunities, close business and grow the business with existing customers. Their product has a wide range of uses and as a result, this opportunity will provide the right individual a good platform for personal and professional growth.

 

The Role

This role will assume the leadership position for all sales activities and ensure the team execute the Project Development plan between the company and client from identified opportunities to close of business. You will manage a team of business development managers and account managers to ensure all customers and potential customers receive the appropriate level of service that this company prides themselves on.

You will ensure the successful execution of projects by engaging internal resources where deemed necessary. The sales plan is your responsibility and you will be required to proactively identify new opportunities and/or lost business potential by maintaining regular contact with existing customers. There will also be an expectation to conduct year-end review calls with customers and to take the consultative approach to client relationships.

 

Sales analysis reports will be a remit as well as maintaining in-depth knowledge of industry trends, competitors and industry news.

 

The Person

We are looking for someone with strong selling experience who has a demonstrable track record of winning new business and closing business. Ideally from a food ingredients / nutritional background with a good understanding of B2B, you will be a team player and be able to understand the customer’s needs.

You will be expected to work as a team player and assign internal functions where you deem best. You must have excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers, being able to work well with colleagues as well as demonstrating strong self-management and solutions selling skills.

 

You must be articulate with a business acumen and there is a strong preference to a college degree. In return, the company can offer a challenging and rewarding environment where there is a strong commission potential based on personal performance.
